 In a region struck by famine, a small village was on the verge of despair. The villagers, who solely depended on agriculture, faced a grim future with their crops failing. The villagers were skeptical but decided to give it a try. They organized a grand ceremony to offer prayers for rain. To their amazement, within a few days, dark clouds formed in the sky, followed by a gentle, life-giving rain. The crops revived, and the village was filled with abundance once again. Maya's faith in the rain being akin to food proven true, saved her village from the brink of ruin.

 பஞ்சத்தால் தாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு பிராந்தியத்தில், ஒரு சிறிய கிராமம் மனம் தளர்ந்து நின்றது. விவசாயத்தை மட்டுமே நம்பியிருந்த கிராமவாசிகள், தங்கள் பயிர்கள் தோல்வியடைவது என்ற கண்ணியமற்ற எதிர்காலத்தை எதிர்கொண்டனர். மயா என்ற இளம் பெண், மழையை வாழ்வின் மூலமும் உணவின் மூலமும் என பண்டைய நூல்களில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளதை நம்பி, மழைக்காக பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுமாறு கூறினார். கிராமவாசிகள் ஐயப்பட்டாலும், அதை முயற்சிப்பதற்கு முடிவுசெய்தனர். அவர்கள் மழைக்கான பிரார்த்தனைக்கு ஒரு பெரிய நிகழ்ச்சியை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தினர். வியப்பளிக்கும் குறைந்த நாட்கள் கொண்டே, வானில் கார்மேகங்கள் திரளாகக் கூடியது, அதன் பின்னர் வாழ்க்கை கொடுக்கும் மெல்லிய மழை பெய்தது. பயிர்கள் மீண்டும் துளிர்க்க, கிராமம் மீண்டும் அளவுக்கு மீறிய பெருக்கெடுப்புடன் நிறைந்தது. மயாவின் மழை உணவுக்குச் சமமென்பதில் உள்ள நம்பிக்கை உண்மையானது என்பதை உணர்த்தி, அவரது கிராமத்தை அழிவின் விளிம்பிலிருந்து மீட்டுள்ளது.
