This wisdom transformed the young man, who then embarked on his own journey of learning and self-discovery, practicing detachment and fulfilling his societal roles with integrity.

ஒரு கிராமத்தில் தன்னுடைய ஒழுக்கத்திற்கும் அனைத்து ஆசைகளையும் கைவிட்டுள்ளதற்கும் மிகப்பெரும் மரியாதையுடன் பார்க்கப்பட்ட ஒரு முனிவர் வாழ்ந்தார். முனிவரின் ஆழ்ந்த அமைதிக்கும் சமுதாயத்தில் பெற்றிருந்த மரியாதைக்கும் காரணம் என்ன என்று ஆர்வத்துடன் இருந்த ஒரு இளைஞன் அவரிடம் அணுகினான். சமுதாய கடமைகளை நிறைவேற்றும்போது உலகியலான ஆசைகளுக்கான பற்றுதலை விட்டுவிடுவது தான் தனது கற்றலின் சாரம் என்று முனிவர் பகிர்ந்தார். இந்த அறிவு இளைஞனை மாற்றியமைத்தது, அவனும் தனது சுய கண்டுபிடிப்பு மற்றும் கற்றல் பயணத்தை தொடங்கினான், பிரியமின்மையை பயிற்சி செய்து, தனது சமூக வேடங்களை நேர்மையுடன் கையாண்டான்.
