**English Short Story:** 

Once in the village of Kalapuram, there lived a hardworking farmer named Keshav. He was known for his dedication to his fields and the plough. However, one year, the anticipated rains failed to arrive, leading to a severe drought. This resulted in a significant drop in crop yield. Keshav, who depended on the rains for his livelihood, found it increasingly difficult to sustain his farming activities. The dire situation forced him to seek alternative sources of income to support his family. Amidst these challenges, Keshav learned the importance of water conservation and diversified agriculture to reduce dependency on rain. Over time, by adopting innovative farming techniques and water-saving methods, Keshav was able to overcome the adversities and continue his passion for farming, showing that resilience and adaptability are key to facing the uncertainties of nature. 

 **Tamil Short Story:**

 காலபுரம் என்ற கிராமத்தில், கேசவ் என்ற ஒரு உழைப்பாளியான விவசாயி வாழ்ந்தார். தனது நிலங்களுக்கும் உழுவைக்கும் அவர் கொண்ட அர்ப்பணிப்புக்கு அவர் அறியப்பட்டிருந்தார். எனினும், ஒரு ஆண்டு, எதிர்பார்த்த மழை வராமல் போனதால், கடுமையான வறட்சி ஏற்பட்டது. இது பயிர் சாதனையில் குறைவு ஏற்படுத்தியது. மழைக்கு அவலம்பித்து வாழ்ந்த கேசவ், தனது விவசாய நடவடிக்கைகளைத் தொடர்வது மேலும் சிரமமாக உள்ளதாக கண்டார். இந்த கடுமையான சூழல், அவரை தனது குடும்பத்தை ஆதரிக்க மாற்று வருமான மூலங்களைத் தேட வற்புறுத்தியது. இந்த சவால்கள் நடுவே, கேசவ் தண்ணீர் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் மழையைச் சார்ந்திராத வேளாண்மையை பலப்படுத்தும் முக்கியத்துவத்தைக் கற்றுக் கொண்டார். காலப்போக்கில், புதுமையான விவசாய முறைகளையும் தண்ணீர் சேமிப்பு முறைகளையும் அறிமுகப்படுத்திய மூலம், கேசவ் சிரமங்களை வென்று தனது விவசாய ஆர்வத்தைத் தொடர முடிந்தது என்பது நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறது உயர்வு மற்றும் தகுதிகளுக்கான சிறந்த விதிகள்.
