DRONES: A MARVELOUS MODERN INVENTION FOR USE IN PEACE AND WAR

In a wedding function which I attended a couple of years ago, I saw for the first time a camera mounted on an equipment known as the "Drone" taking photographs. The machine was flying at a height of about 10 feet, moving all over the hall and taking pictures of those present. It was amazing to watch.

A person who was sitting next to me told me that it was a novel device also known as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which could be used for many more jobs besides taking photographs of people in public gatherings. For instance, with a little modification, it could be employed in a disaster situation, to carry and deliver food and other supplies to people caught up in an inaccessible spot as a result of floods, accidents etc. It could be used for transporting urgently needed medicines for treating seriously ill persons in a distant hospital or carry and deliver a human organ urgently required for a transplant surgery. Because it can travel by air and quickly reach its destination in a relatively short period, and can also easily navigate, hard-to-reach locations and rugged terrain, doctors hail this invention as a very useful tool in the field of medicine.

Drones are also employed to monitor and protect environment. Drones fitted with high  resolution cameras, sensors and GPS capabilities, can be programmed to capture images, collect data and monitor conditions in real time. Drones are deployed to survey forests and gather information on forest cover, species distribution, tracking wild life. They provide a non-invasive method for studying animal populations, migration of marine animals, assess the impact of human activities on wild life habitats. It is found that they prove to be a cost-effective alternative to traditional monitoring methods.

Military drones have recently emerged as tools of warfare.

These have a wide range of uses, primarily revolving around intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, and, targeted strikes Armed drones can deliver missiles or guided bombs with high accuracy, minimizing risk to human pilots and enabling strikes in dangerous areas. It must however be admitted that concerns do arise regarding the potential for civilian casualties due to drone strikes, particularly with high civilian populations.

The use of drones in military operations is constantly evolving with advancements in technology leading to increased autonomy, enhanced capabilities, and a wider range of potential applications. Therefore, while use of drones for civilian applications can be encouraged, their intense military use, particularly when it can lead to destruction of lives and property, a restrained approach should be exercised in deploying them.

Exam are for evaluation don't create coagulation in the system

Education is a common term which should reach every students in the nation. If there are opportunities for pursuing medical on interest of individuals, then public organization should support for the common individuals. When state decides a formulation for evaluating the interests of medical aspirant why and what is the need of another exam required to mandate for medical aspirants. When the education system has to equalize the opportunities for medical aspirants, then a system has to take initiative to match  the performance of individuals from various state and frame a eligibility for medical admits. Mandating an exam not only for medical entries, even for other discipline admits is not contributing to the efforts and work of framing syllabus and evaluation of state government.
