 Kural 35 focuses on defining virtuous conduct by what it avoids. The Tamil version of the kural is: "அழுக்காறு அவாவெகுளி இன்னாச்சொல் நான்கும் இழுக்கா இயன்றது அறம்." 

**First Title - The Pillars of Virtue:

** The English translation of Kural 35 is, "That conduct is virtue which is free from these four things, viz, malice, desire, anger, and bitter speech." 

**Second Title - The Foundations of Noble Conduct:

** English Explanations: Thiruvalluvar asserts that true virtue in conduct arises from the absence of malice, desire, anger, and harsh words. These are the impediments to righteousness that one must overcome. 

Tamil Explanations: திருவள்ளுவர் உண்மையான நாணயத்தைக் கொண்ட நடத்தை என்பது பகைமை, ஆசை, கோபம், மற்றும் கசப்பான மொழிகள் இந்த நான்கும் இல்லாதிருத்தலில் இருந்து உதிக்கும் என கூறுகிறார். இவை நீதியில் ஒருவர் கடந்து செல்ல வேண்டிய தடைகள். 

**Third Title - The Story of a Healed Village:

** English Explanation: A tale of a village plagued by strife due to the unchecked presence of malice, desire, anger, and harsh speech among its citizens. A wise elder counsels the villagers on the essence of virtue, leading them to abandon these four vices. Gradually, the village transforms into a haven of peace and prosperity. 

Tamil Story Translation: பகைமை, ஆசை, கோபம், மற்றும் கசப்பான பேச்சு ஆகிய இந்த நான்கும் முற்றிலும் கட்டுப்பாட்டில்லாமல் உள்ள ஒரு கிராமத்தில் உள்ள கலகத்தினால் வாடிவதான கதை. ஒரு ஞானியான முதியவர் கிராமவாசிகளுக்கு நல்லொழுக்கத்தின் சாரத்தை நேர்காணிக்க வழிகாட்டுகிறார், இது அவர்களை இந்த நான்கு குற்றங்களை உதறிவிட வழிவகுக்கிறது. படிப்படியாக, கிராமம் அமைதி மற்றும் செல்வச் செழிப்பின் சுவர்க்கமாக மாறுகிறது.
